Family Friday, December 2017 (7-9PM): Community Potluck Gathering ~ Meet and eat with your community of extended family (open to the public)!  Bring a dish to share and your own plate, cup, and utensils.  We'll provide a wild-foraged dish to share and medicinal herbal teas, an intentional space to tune in, slow down, and engage in mindful and lively discussions.  Erica will lead a plant meditation using our "plant of the month" tincture or salve, which will be given to all students. We sometimes also have products available for sale and/or trade.

Foraging Saturday, December 2017 (9AM-4:30PM): In the modern world, there are only a few opportunities for ceremony and ritual, for example, weddings, funerals, and celebrations of birth.  However, every day provides a reason to celebrate life ~ prana ~ breath.  We'll discuss several plants that have been used traditionally as sacred ceremonial plants and develop a practice of incorporating ceremony and ritual to transform otherwise mundane activities into those that help to build a life that we are in love with. We break for lunch (not provided) midday for about 45 minutes, then continue our day with other lessons, activities, and nature-based meditations.  While we spend the entire day outdoors, we aren't moving the entire time.  We can accommodate all levels of physical activity.  A light snack and hot herbal tea made from wild in-season plants are always provided.

Fusion Sunday, December 2017 (10AM-4PM): We'll spend part of the day creating a festive and sacred ceremonial space and preparing foods and drinks made from wild foraged ingredients, including a variety of appetizers, teas, herbal beer and cordials. You'll learn how to make these festive foods and drinks in your own home!  In the afternoon, we will process and celebrate the completion of our series.  For those who wish to partake in this session as a stand-alone single weekend, lucky for you... it's time to party!  Students enrolled in the full 5-weekend series are invited to bring a guest for the afternoon ceremony.  We will share our intentions for the new year and engage in mindfulness practices that support the projects and visions we plan to birth in our next phase!
