Family Friday, October 2017 (7-9PM): Community Potluck Gathering ~ Meet and eat with your community of extended family (open to the public)!  Bring a dish to share and your own plate, cup, and utensils.  We'll provide a wild-foraged dish to share and medicinal herbal teas, an intentional space to tune in, slow down, and engage in mindful and lively discussions.  Erica will lead a plant meditation using our "plant of the month" tincture or salve, which will be given to all students. We sometimes also have products available for sale and/or trade.

Foraging Saturday, October 2017 (9AM-4:30PM): We'll learn to identify plants that have been traditionally used to heal the mind and spirit such as plants that improve mood, heighten attention, expand consciousness, alter dream states, bring about clarity and hone intuition. We break for lunch (not provided) midday for about 45 minutes, then continue our day with other lessons, activities, and nature-based meditations.  While we spend the entire day outdoors, we aren't moving the entire time.  We can accommodate all levels of physical activity.  A light snack and hot herbal tea made from wild in-season plants are always provided.

Fusion Sunday, October 2017 (9:30AM-4PM): Our day in the kitchen will be spent making herbal drink blends, aromatherapy pouches and oils, smudging bundles, ceremonial fire offerings and other products to be used for healing mind and spirit. We work with sages, cedar, tree tobacco, and other sacred plants, and discuss the magical and shamanic uses of many locally available plants. We will break for lunch (not provided) midday for about 40 minutes, then continue our day with an urban foraging and plant identification walk followed by more time in the kitchen.  Lights snacks and herbal tea made from seasonal wild plants are always provided.  At the end of our time together, we'll get to sample some of the things we prepared in the kitchen!
