Dandelions are a terrific plant to work with because they are one of the easiest wild plants to safely identify, not to mention the fact that they are nutritional and medicinal powerhouses! Every part of a dandelion is edible, including the roots, leaves, stalks, and flower petals. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the beneficial properties of one of America’s most disliked “weeds,” and 5 of my favorite ways to use this plant. We’ll make a batch of dandelion jelly, as well as a nourishing skincare product that I use to combat our dry climate. I’ll also share a few additional recipes that we won’t have time to make—there are literally hundreds of them! This class will be held at my home, the Forager’s Mountain Inn, in Buena Vista CO.
