This summer has been especially hot and dry, but there is still an abundance of food and healing herbs growing in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains. Would you like to learn how to identify and use some of those edible and medicinal plants while getting a little exercise at the same time? If so, please join me for this morning plant identification walk. We'll wander around the hills discussing the many plant friends we find growing in and around our beautiful city, talking about the nutritional and medicinal properties of what we find. I'll also share recipe ideas. We'll end our walk with a homemade snack made from wild foraged and organic ingredients. This is a relatively flat and shady hike, though there are opportunities to get your heart racing afterwards if you'd like. More details including the location will be sent after registration. To RSVP, please sign up on the registration page here or contact Erica directly. ~ Cost $25.
