You have medicine and the world needs healing. Share your gifts.

FOR MORE THAN TWO DECADES, Dr. Erica (Wohldmann) Gift has dedicated her life to teaching about and protecting the natural world. As a university professor, public educator, and researcher for 15 years, she has developed curriculum and programs at California State University, Northridge—a 40,000-person urban campus that serves an incredibly diverse population—aimed at shifting the consumer mindset that nature is capital. In 2012, after returning from 6-months of living in the forests of the Western US, wild harvesting all of her food and medicine, Erica realized it was time to expand her offerings into the community. She now offers placed-based education and immersive experiences aimed at fostering a deeper connection with our natural bioregions. Getting out of the traditional classroom and into the wild allows the beauty and wisdom of nature to support our growth and learning in this time of swift ecological transition.
