Earth Education and Stewardship
In a culture that encourages us to be busy, creating space to connect with the sights and sounds of nature is a revolutionary act of self care. In fact, countless cognitive, psychological, and physical health benefits arise from spending time in and engaging with the natural world.
After spending 6 months living in the forests of the western U.S. on a wild-foraged diet, Erica began leading walks and classes grounded in Earth-based wisdom and always aimed at stewardship—giving back to the land that feeds us. Her classes help people reconnect with their local bioregions by teaching them about the abundance of wild food and medicine growing all around us. She offers edible and medicinal plant and mushroom walks, as well as herbal wildcrafting workshops, in Colorado, California, and occasionally in tropical and remote wild places. If you want to learn how to find and identify edible and medicinal plants, seeds, nuts, and mushrooms, discover the nutritional, medicinal, and ethnobotanical properties and uses of plants in your bioregion, and learn about ethical harvesting, wildcrafting, and regenerative gardening, then register for an upcoming event. For a more intimate experience, schedule a private walk or a workshop in your home, and keep an eye out for Erica’s next 5-month herbal immersion series.
